New Mexico wants to fix its 'highway to hell' - Reuters
Highway 666 runs north-south for about 160 miles in the northwestern part of the state, mostly through an American Indian reservation, connecting the towns of Gallup and Shiprock.

  • Do you think Christians should avoid anything with 666 in it? Explain. What scenarios can you come up with that would be a bummer to have 666 show up in? For instance; what would you do if you were assigned a phone number with it? What if you found your dream home at an incredible price but the address had 666 in it? Would you attend a church on Highway 666? Would you go so far as to check the bar codes of everything you purchase? What would you do if your lunch totaled $6.66? What if you ordered 6 tacos and your guest number is 66? What if something had 6666? Is this better or twice as bad?

  • Are we, as Christians, supposed to be afraid of "666"? Are we supposed to be afraid of Satan? Are you? What does scripture say about this whole number thing? Revelation 13:11-18, 19:17-21

  • What does scripture say regarding fear? This is a good topic to study together. Use the Bible Study Tool below and enter "fear." 2 Timothy 1:7; Romans 8:31; 1 John 4:18; Psalm 111:10; Proverbs 1:7; 9:10; Isaiah 8:13
