TODAY'S DIALOGUE - February 5, 2004

PERFECTION, RISK TAKING, COURAGE

PATRICK STEWART OPPOSES STAR TREKS - New York Post
"I would like to see us get this place right first before we have the arrogance to put significantly flawed civilizations out onto other planets," Stewart said.

  • Describe the perfect civilization. How is our civilization flawed Today? What do you think would help fix the flaws?

  • If you could live on any planet in our solar system, which one would it be and why? What would your community look like?

  • Do you think God intended for us to travel in space? Did He intend us to populate other planets? Explain.

  • Many times we think we need to be perfected in something before we take any risks. What are some things you have chosen not to do because you didn't think you were ready enough for it (i.e. share your faith, prayer, sports, hobbies, fixing something, discussing something with your family)?

  • What does the Bible say about perfection?
    Psalm 119:96, 2 Corinthians 12:9, Philippians 3:12, Hebrews 13:20-21, 1 Peter 5:10, James 1:2-4, Matthew 5:48.
