Study:
Children's viewing linked to TV violence -

Both boys and girls who watch a lot of violence on television have a heightened risk of aggressive adult behavior including spouse abuse and criminal offenses, no matter how they act in childhood, a new study says.

- What is it about violent shows - on TV or in the movies - that can
make you more likely to be violent or overly aggressive? Do you think
violent people are just attracted to violet shows or
do the shows produce violent or aggressive people? Explain.
- What effect to violent programs have on you? What effect to violent
cartoons have on you? What do you consider to be violent cartoons?
What do you consider to be violent TV shows?
- Describe/define violent or aggressive behavior. What can you do
to keep these attributes in check? (Hint: accountability with someone
who has good control in this area, listen to others if they tell you
they are seeing an increase in violence from you, pray...)
- Who are some of your friends that inspire you to be a better person?
Which of your friends encourage you to be overly aggressive?
- Genesis 6:13; Ezekiel 8:17; Psalm 140:1;
Proverbs 14f:29; 16:29; Ephesians 4:26; James 1:19.

Abortion
Information Handed Out in Schools - KCAU
TV
The State of Nebraska has its schools handing out touchy
material to its students. It explains if a young girl wants to get an
abortion without telling her parents she can go to the courts and ask
for a waiver. The letter's even passed along to South Sioux High boys.
One educator says he doesn't see how the schools should have anything
to do with such a subject.
