Indiana teen saved after online suicide bid - Houston Chronicle
The posting sparked a flurry of replies, similar to a crowd gathering underneath a suicidal jumper, with responses ranging from sympathy to encouragement to the Internet cries of "Jump."

  • What would you do if someone said, "I'm going to kill myself," even if they said it as a joke? (Don't laugh at it as if its nothing - Its NOT funny. Don't even take it lightly. Ask them probing questions like, HOW are you going to do it, and WHERE are you going to do it -- if they answer and are specific get them to a hospital or call the police or tell your school authorities.)

  • If you never smiled before in your entire life, what is it that might make you smile?

  • If you see a stranger crying, what do you think of? Do you assume they are crying from sadness or joy? Why do you think that is? When was the last time you saw a stranger cry? What was your reaction?

  • Are you known among your friends as someone who listens or as a talker? What makes it difficult for you to do the opposite?
