KUPD
deejay suspended over Kile prank
- Arizona Republic
The disc jockey who called Darryl Kile's widow and asked
her if she had a date for Thursday's game between the Diamondbacks and
Cardinals has been suspended for a week by KUPD-FM (97.9).

- Do you think an act like this is cause for dismissal - being fired?
Explain.
- Is it possible to go through life without offending or hurting someone
with your words?
- Have you ever said something and wished you could turn back the
clock and not say it? What was the situation? What were the consequences?
Did the consequences outweigh your personal remorse?
- This DJ was not alone when he did the show. Basically there are
at least three people involved in the show at its airing. None of
the other guys stepped in or did anything to stop it. In fact the
co-host is the one who prompted him to do it. Who, of your friends,
would most likely stop you before you went over the line with your
tongue? Which of your friends would laugh and encourage more bad speech?
What does that tell you about who you hang around with?
- What scripture comes to mind with this? Here are some verses but
use the Bible Study Tool below to do a word study on the tongue. James
3:1-12; Matthew 15:7-20
