Florida man changes name to 'I am who I am' - Associated Press
Charles Haffey wanted to legally change his name to "God." It took a loophole of biblical proportions. A Columbia County judge initially denied his request in April to legally adopt the heavenly moniker, so Haffey took a passage from the Bible where Moses asks God who he is and hears "I am who I am or I will be who I will be," and asked Judge Vernon Douglas once more to change his name.

  • Who I Am said he became a Christian and wanted to change everything starting with his name. Do you think the name he chose was a good name to give glory to God? Why or why not? How can you best glorify God?

  • If someone asked you who God is, how would you answer?

  • If you could be someone famous who would it be and why?

  • What is the meaning behind your name? Why did your parents choose the name you were given?

  • What scripture comes to mind with this? John 21:19; 1 Corinthians 10:31; Psalm 82:12
