Let's talk about friends first. What's the first thing that
comes to mind about friendship when you read about the other
kids at the party? What was more valuable to them - not getting
caught, or someone's life? How do these verses in Scripture,
written thousands of years ago pertain to today?

- How do you think this situation fits in with Ephesians
5:18? You can see in this one article both sides of this
verse. On the one side you have someone who was most likely controlled
by alcohol. How did it affect her decision making ability? What
effect did it have on her driving ability? What about her relationships
(friends and family)?
- On the other side of this situation you have someone who was
controlled by the Spirit. This lady had such a close relationship
with God that at the slightest whisper of direction she was moving
and obeying - even to the point of stopping her car right where
the accident happened. The police could not find this location
for days! What do you think could have been different in this
situation if the teenage girl were to have been controlled by
the Sprit? Do you know of anyone who is so close in their relationship
to God that it seems like they have a secret walkie-talkie to
communicate with Him? What are some other things
we allow to control us (things that make you mad, people, objects
that aren't even alive like the TV remote or computers that freeze
up...)? What would be different in your life if you allowed the
Spirit to have more control(Galatians 5:16-26)?
