Enron, WorldCom, Martha Stewart, Xerox, Catholic priests,
Tyco, Arthur Andersen, Qwest Communications. This is a partial list
of candidates for this year's Absence of Ethics award. Without question,
the bottom line issue is moral leadership. What do Americans make of
this mess?

- Where are children getting their moral instruction today? Where
should they be getting their moral instruction?
- How much emphasis do you think the average family puts on teaching
their children good, healthy morals? If you think this is pretty low,
explain why?
- What would help parents do a better job at teaching their children
morals (besides Dinner Dialogue)? What are some morals that your parents
really emphasis with you?
- If an adult is lacking moral convictions, who is to blame - the
adult or his parents?
- What scriptures come to mind?

According to a nationwide poll conducted by a group of
Twin Cities religious institutions, led by the Central Lutheran Church,
more than two-thirds of business leaders, 74 percent, say they pray
for guidance and inspiration in running their business. However, only
a third, 33 percent, talks about business with their earth-bound spiritual
leaders.

waiting for a chance to save government from the ancient superstitions
of its people. And soon more secular decisions come down from the high
court: In God We Trust is rejected as the national motto.
